Sorry, I just totally spaced out writing an entry yesterday. No good reason, just forgot!
Today I've been doing laundry and working on homework, and I cooked chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, and salad for supper. Geesh, home-cooking sure does pile up the dishes though. LOL. For lunch we had burritos that I made from the taco leftovers earlier in the week. I've been working really hard at using up everything rather than letting things go to waste. Tomorrow we're having roast, carrots, and potatoes for lunch, then for supper we're having sandwiches. Then I've got to figure out a plan for next week's suppers. We have not eaten out all week long, even yesterday for lunch. Tom made us fried bologna, egg, and cheese sandwiches.
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

You are making me hungry! I just went and got stuff to do stew and chili both this week love my crock pot lol I told John recently I would cook all day long if I had someone to do all the dishes for me. lol
Yeah, that's the same way I am, Mandy. I've got breakfast dishes, lunch dishes, snack dishes, and then supper dishes to deal with everyday and it just gets really annoying sometimes!
I think Tom's going to be making chili this week for the chili cook-off at work on Thursday.
Now you are both making me hungry! The fried bologna and egg sandwich sounds yummy! I miss having fried eggs once in a while, but with Danny's cholesterol problems, I don't even keep them in the house.(The Dr. says if he gets his cholesterol down, it will help with the high blood pressure and high blood sugar!) I use an egg substitute , but it isn't the same. I did have a coountry omelette at IHOP the other day with egg substitute and couldn't tell the difference at all. I just figure if Danny's was high, so is mine. We eat basically the same, and when I used to give blood mine was always borderline high.
Di, unless something has changed (again!), I thought they had found that an occasional egg was not bad for you. We do not fry ours in oil, we just spray the pan with cooking spray and "fry" it in that. It's really good.
Arlan told Danny if he would just quit the daily egg he was eating, it would probably be enough. Everything I have read says that the daily recommended of "bad" cholesterol is approx. 300 mg., and a large egg has over 200! I am sure that one occasionally wouldn't hurt, though. and that is the way I usually fry them.
Well, Di, that stinks! I don't have an egg everyday, but I sure do like them when I do have them. Maybe if you guys are missing having them, you could have real eggs once a week or something? I think you can buy them in boxes of 1/2 dozen so they would not go bad before you used them.
