Today is my three year "blogiversary". Three years ago, I started this blog as a way to keep ourselves on track with trying to get out of debt. There's been lots of ups and downs and we have got way off track a few times (right now, for example), but we just keep trying.
A huge praise: yesterday, I went for my post-op check-up. The doctor released me, I only need to go back if I have anymore problems! And the nodules they removed from my thyroid were all benign. I am so thankful! And thank you all for the prayers that you've been saying.
I am going to start out with setting goals a week at a time for right now as I try to get back in the groove after the last several months.
1. Begin exercising next week. I can use my Walk Away the Pounds DVD and my Yoga for the Rest of Us DVD.
2. Spend some time cleaning and organizing the office so I can get taxes done to get Tasha's FAFSA paperwork filed for college.
I'm a middle-aged woman determined to get out of debt. My husband and I are going through Financial Peace University (again!) through our church. As Dave Ramsey says, this isn't a microwave, it's a slow cooker. Come with me on my journey!

Time to get back to Baby Steps
Tom and I had a super fun weekend together, although it ended way too soon. The drive home in the snow wasn't that fun, but we made it safely.
I'm feeling pretty good, but two of my kids got sick last week and I feel like I might be trying to fight off a cold. So, guess we'll see how that goes. At any rate, I think it's time for our family to get back to basics. Start over with the baby steps and see if we can get our momentum going again. We have eaten out way too much in the last few weeks. Don't get me wrong,I know we had good reason to, but it's time to get back to cooking at home. That's where we are going to start first. I have worked on a menu for the next couple of weeks to try and keep us on track. Tom will be glad to get back to having me cook, he always says that anything I make at home is better than what we can get out. I don't believe that, but he's sweet for saying it. LOL.
This week, I will be sharing other goals that we will be setting for ourselves to get us back on track.
