Day 466 and a homework break

Well, I've got homework piled up and due again on Sunday night, so I am going to have to take a break this weekend. For some reason, this semester is really kicking my tail.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Day 465 and what is up with this heat?

My goodness, it got up to around 90 degrees again today. Didn't we just have a big snowstorm a few weeks ago? I am so not ready for this. Now watch, when it actually IS summer, it probably won't be hot. LOL. We can hope anyway.

I just got back from my mandatory food program meeting and a stop at United to pick up a few things.

I'm wondering, did anyone go to a viewing of Dave Ramsey's Town Hall for Hope anywhere? I wanted to go so bad, but could not miss this meeting. I am anxious to hear about it!

Day 464 and a long week

I've really enjoyed the revival services this week but it has made for a long week being gone every night. Revival is over, but I still have somewhere to go tomorrow evening, a mandatory food program meeting. It's late and I'm going to bed. Hope everyone enjoyed the few days of spring we had because I think summer is already here. LOL.

Day 463 and a book review

One of my child care families gave me a Hasting's gift card for Christmas. One of the books that I bought with it was called The Simple Faith of Mr. Rogers and was about Fred Rogers from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. I grew up watching Mr. Rogers and always loved him. I finally got around to reading the book and finished it a few days ago. This book was wonderful. It was written by a friend of his who met him when she interviewed him for a TV program. I found the book very powerful and thought provoking and well...just sweet. I have sent the book to a friend to read, but if you can find a copy and like to read, I highly recommend it! The author is Amy Hollingsworth and this is her website: http://amyhollingsworth.com/. It looks like she has another book out, too.

Another book that is getting alot of attention right now is called The Shack. My Sunday school teacher gave me a copy to read, but it will be May 8th before I have a chance to read it. I'll share my thoughts on it after I read it.

Day 462 and another plumber visit!

So last night, Tom discovered we had another leak downstairs in the basement. So this morning I called the plumber to come fix it. It was $84 this time. Hopefully we won't have to see the plumber again for a while!

Day 461 and some thoughts

This morning we went to church. I was in the nursery for services so missed the first of the revival sermons, sort of. I could hear most of it through the speaker in the nursery. That was a blessing. The last few times I've been in there the speaker has not been working and we couldn't hear anything from services. After church, there was a dinner and we stayed to eat. Then we came home and I worked on homework for a while and then took a short nap. I am really trying to take care of myself a bit more and rest. I think I am running myself into the ground. Prior to getting sick this last time with bronchitis, I had not been sleeping well for several weeks. So I was overtired and my defenses were down. I have been sick more times than I can count in the last several months with colds, bronchitis, sinus troubles, and two stomach bugs. That does not even count all the time I just have not felt well for no apparent reason. I am just not sure how to feel good again.

Because of revival services, there is no Financial Peace class tonight. Classes will resume next week. It's almost time to head back for evening services so guess I better close this up. Hope everyone has a great week!
