I'm a middle-aged woman determined to get out of debt. My husband and I are going through Financial Peace University (again!) through our church. As Dave Ramsey says, this isn't a microwave, it's a slow cooker. Come with me on my journey!

Saturday bargains!
Saturday morning, Tom and I got up and went garage saleing. The first sale that we stopped at was a child care center that was closing down. I got this water table for $10. I got a new step stool for the bathroom. My old one was a Little Tikes 10 cent find, I've had it at least 11-12 years! I plan to keep using it for the little boys who want to stand up at the potty. I also found a table top puppet theater, a new CD player (mine was messing up), a couple of outside toys, and she gave me some like new nap mats!
Later, I went to United and got some of their sale items. Got 12 cans each of corn, green beans, and peas at 39 cents a can, used my rain check on the cream of mushroom soup, got 6 cans for 50 cents each. Had to get another rain check on the cream of broccoli soup, though. They were out. Also used my Taco Bell taco shells rain check. The rain checks had 50 cent off egg coupons on the back and eggs were on sale for 99 cents, so I got two dozen eggs for 49 cents a dozen! I also got some other sale items that were buy $20 worth, get a $6 United gift card. I mailed that stuff off this morning. All in all, a great bargain weekend!
