I'm a middle-aged woman determined to get out of debt. My husband and I are going through Financial Peace University (again!) through our church. As Dave Ramsey says, this isn't a microwave, it's a slow cooker. Come with me on my journey!

Day 290 and this stupid election
Well, I just spent time on the phone with my upset daughter over a comment someone she looks up to made to her about who she's voting for. I agree that we're all entitled to our opinions but I just think that it doesn't have to turn into personal attacks against the other person for what they believe. Which leads back to why I don't like to talk about politics. Anyway. I'll just be glad when it's over. It's late and I'm tired. I'll try to do better tomorrow.

Boy, you said it. I never talk politics, but I broke my own rule the other day because I was so frustrated over one candidate and vented how much I disliked them and got a real earful. Didn't change my mind, but wasted about fifteen minutes of an otherwise good day!
I'm just sick of it. The only good thing I can say is that at least we haven't had a bazillion phone calls like we did last time.
