Days 657 & 658 and living in an episode of Hee-Haw

Remember this song from Hee-Haw:

Gloom, despair, and agony on me (OOOHHHHH),
Deep dark depression, excessive misery (OOOOHHHH)
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all,
Gloom, despair, and agony on me.

Tom and I are both singing that song right now. I'm trying to make light of it, but it's one of those things that is so NOT funny that it's almost hilarious. Tom hit a deer with his car on the way home last night. Of course. Why not? We needed more vehicle problems, just of a different sort. Later on when it gets light out, Tom or I will go out and take a picture and I'll post it.

You just can't seem to catch a break! Glad Tom is okay though!

PS: Thank you so much... I now have HEEHAW songs stuck in my head :)

Tom was just in and told us about it. I agree that song does seem to fit your family most of the time. I guess we need to be glass half full on this one, though. At least Tom wasn't hurt, the car is easily repairable, and you had the money for the deductible in your emergency fund. It could have been a lot worse in several ways! I love you both!

Wow, that is really bad news. I just saw a deer the other day. I took Trenton over to school at the Head Start, and coming back about a block and half from the Cooker, a deer ran across the street in front of me. Jumped over the four foot chainlink and disappeared across somebody's back yard. Been here in OK for umpteen years now, and that's the first one I've seen. LOL.

Chell, how about this one: "We're not ones to go round spreading rumors, really, we're just not the gossiping kind". LOL. Just thought I"d help!
Di, another thing we're extremely grateful for is that we hadn't canceled the full coverage on his car. We thought about it after we got it paid off but thought that with him driving it back and forth to Enid everyday that wasn't a good idea. Turned out to be a wise choice!
Mary, wow, can't believe that's the first time you've seen a deer. I see them all the time, I'm surprised this is the first time that either Tom or I have hit one. I've had several close calls. On a side note, Trenton is in Head Start already? HOLY COW!

First time here in OK. I saw them a lot back in Oregon. Of course, I rarely leave town and that's usually in the day time too when I do.

Actually Trenton would be in the 4 year old public program this year if he had any inclination at all to actually potty train.

Mary, I meant that I couldn't believe it was the first time you'd seen a deer around here. Anyway, consider yourself lucky. LOL. Still can't believe Trenton is that old!
